Welcome to Enchanted Wings

Enchanted Wings Nature Center, in Copan Ruinas, Honduras, was formed by a consortium of partners of family and friends that were interested in opening up a Nature Center to fulfill the needs of visiting tourists and act as an educational facility. Its three main goals are:

to act as an environmental education center,
to serve as a tourist facility and,
to function as a scientific warehouse to store and show specimens of native flora and fauna.

It is a unique center in Honduras that is in reality a living laboratory that houses a preserved butterfly collection, a live butterfly breeding program, an enclosed butterfly flyway, open air butterfly gardens, native orchid exhibit and botanical gardens. We hope to add a reptile/snake exhibit and insect museum in the long run.
